Advanced JEE 2020: Many applicants who are supposed to take the Advanced Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) on Sunday, arrived in the capital city of Patna on Saturday in an effort to secure timely reports at the test center.
About 30,000 applicants will take the JEE Advanced exam at 72 centers spread across 11 cities across the state. In Patna alone, more than 15,000 applicants will take the exam.
Recently, a NEET applicant from the Darbhanga district was denied entry to the Kolkata test center due to being 10 minutes late, which cost him a year to prepare.
While taking a lesson, several students moved to the city of their test center a day earlier to avoid such cases.
Siwan resident Punit Kumar said: “My test center is in Patna. I can’t take chances after reading such news. I haven’t received a message about the time of the report yet, but the exam will start at 9 a.m. M. So, I got here a day early to avoid any unprecedented event. “
Similarly, Akash Gupta, a native of Gopalganj, said: “The weather conditions are not good. The heavy rains in recent days have affected roads and communications. I can’t bear to lose a year for being late. I’m staying in a hotel near Boring Road. “
While several applicants regretted having been forced to skip the exam as they have been assigned an exam center in other states despite having between four and five options in Bihar.
Ravi Raj, a resident of Gaya, said: “I was assigned a test center in Kolkata, which was my eighth option. The first five options were examination centers in Bihar. I can’t organize a trip in such a short time. “
Another applicant, Vikrant Kumar, who lives in Arrah, said: “I was assigned to an exam center in Delhi, which was my last option. There was no option to change test centers. I skip the test simply because the test center is distant. “
Meanwhile, the city’s test centers were seen on Saturday completing last-minute preparation for the exam.
Ajay Singh, who runs the Uniconcept exam center in Kankarbagh, said: “We are ready to take the exam. This time, the crowd will be smaller than the main exam. Exam rooms, computers, stairs, and other common contact surfaces have already been disinfected. Students and staff are familiar with security protocols after taking the first round of exams. “
According to the National Testing Agency (NTA), candidates are supposed to wear a dress without large buttons, chains, rings, hairpins and related accessories on the day of the exam. Candidates are encouraged to wear slippers and sandals.
