Five students from the national capital scored a 100 percentile on the JEE-Main exam, which was conducted earlier this month after being postponed twice in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The result of the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) -Main was declared late on the night of Friday.
Delhi’s top scorers include Chirag Falor, Gurkirat Singh, Laksh Gupta, Nishant Aggarwal and Tushar Sethi. They are among the 24 candidates who scored in the 100th percentile on the crucial exam.

The admission test to the engineering schools was held from September 1 to 6, amid strict precautions and social distancing measures due to COVID-19.
The staggered entry and exit of the candidates, the disinfectants at the door, the distribution of masks and the maintenance of distance while the candidates queued, were some of the scenes witnessed in the examination centers across the country.
A total of 8.58 lakh candidates had registered for the JEE-Mains exam for admission to engineering courses at IIT, NIT and Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTI), while only 74% of them had taken the exam.
Increased number of test centers, alternate seating plans, fewer candidates per room, and staggered entry and exit were some of the steps taken by the National Testing Agency to safely conduct the crucial exam.
Based on the results of the JEE-Mains Paper 1 and Paper 2 exams, 2.45 lakh top candidates will be eligible to sit for the JEE-Advanced exam which is a comprehensive exam to gain admission to the 23 leading institutes of technology in India . (IIT). JEE-Advanced is scheduled for September 27.
