Awantipora police in Jammu and Kashmir, along with the Army and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), arrested a terrorist network, the ANI news agency reported. The network of the outlaw Jaish-e-Mohammad team was involved in the grenade-throwing incidents in the Tral and Sangam areas, police officers said, citing ANI.
The six arrested terrorist agents have been in contact with Pakistani manipulators and attacked security forces by throwing grenades at security forces in the recent past, police further said, according to ANI.
The police have recovered incriminating material, including explosive substance, from the possession of the detained officers. A case has also been registered.

Last month, police arrested two people in Awantipora whom they described as operatives linked to Jaish-e-Mohammad.
The detainees were identified as Bilal Ahmad Chopan from Wagad Tral and Mursaleen Bashir Sheikh from Chatlam Pampore.
Police said these people were providing logistical support and shelter in addition to transporting weapons / ammunition from the terrorists in the Pampore and Tral areas of Kashmir.

Last month, security forces had also discovered a cross-border tunnel, which was used by four Jaish terrorists to enter Jammu before they were killed in an operation at the Ban toll plaza near Nagrota.
