Defamation Case: Congressional Leader Jairam Ramesh has requested an apology from Vivek Doval, son of the NSA Ajit Doval, in a criminal defamation case. Last year, Vivek Doval had filed a defamation case against Jairam Ramesh and The Caravan magazine for their alleged defamatory statement and article against him. Today, Doval reported that Jairam Ramesh had offered an apology and has accepted it. However, he said the criminal defamation case against La Caravana will continue.

Congressional leader Jairam Ramesh said he gave the statement against Vivek Doval and made several accusations in the heat of the moment as it was time for the elections. “I must verify it,” was quoted by ANI.

In January 2019, Vivek Doval filed a criminal defamation case in a Delhi court against the news magazine The Caravan for allegedly publishing a defamatory news article. He also brought a defamation case against Jairam Ramesh for holding a press conference and repeating the same faulty accusations made in the news article. Vivek Doval claimed that the magazine was deliberately smearing and smearing him to settle scores with his father, the NSA Ajit Doval.

On January 30, Vivek Doval had recorded his statement in court and said that all the charges made by the magazine and later repeated by the leader of Congress, Jairam Ramesh at a press conference, were “unfounded” and “false” and they damaged his reputation in the eyes. from family members and professional colleagues.
