J-K: Four militants killed in Kulgam encounter, third in last 48 hours in Valley

Four militants were killed in an encounter with security forces in the Kulgam district of southern Kashmir on Sunday night. This is the third meeting in the Valley in the last 48 hours, and together, eight militants and a militant “associate” have been killed.

Police officers said around 8:00 pm Sunday, a group of joint forces patrolling was attacked by militants between the Chehlan and Asthal villages of the Kulgam district.

An officer said in the exchange of fire, an Army personnel was wounded and a meeting subsequently broke out in the area.

The Kashmir police area confirmed on Twitter that four militants had died in the encounter.

In two different tweets, the police said that four militants were killed. “02 more #terrorists killed. The operation still continues. More details will follow, “said his last tweet about the meeting.

According to the Kulgam police, “in view of the contributions on militants who plan to kill policemen, the joint Kulgam forces carried out a comprehensive plan of domination and one of those patrollers was attacked by militants on Sunday night in Kulgam.”

Prior to this, two militants and a militant “associate” were killed in a shootout with security forces in the Pulwama district on Saturday morning.

On Friday night, two militants were killed after kidnapping a Kulgam district police officer and security forces intercepted the militants, triggering an encounter. As the police rescued the kidnapped police, two militants were killed in the brief encounter.
