New Delhi:
Ivanka Trump, daughter of US President Donald Trump, today shared several photos with Prime Minister Narendra Modi from his visit to India three years ago on her Instagram and spoke about the “strong friendship” between the two countries.
“As the world continues to fight COVID-19, the strong friendship of our countries in promoting global security, stability and economic prosperity is more important than ever,” the post captioned.
India and the United States have good diplomatic relations with Donald Trump who is visiting India with his family earlier this year for the Namaste Trump event. The two countries are also the worst affected nations in the world due to the deadly coronavirus.
The photographs, shared by Ms Trump, were clicked at the Global Entrepreneurship Summit in Hyderabad, where the 39-year-old had led a 350-person delegation from the United States in November 2017.
Mrs. Trump, also an adviser to President Trump, praised Prime Minister Modi during her visit and applauded him for bringing a promise of “transformative change” to Indians through their journey from humble beginnings to the nation’s top office.
His one-day visit had turned Hyderabad into a fortress with more than 10,000 security personnel, sniffer dogs and a special team to monitor suspicious people and activities. Hyderabad had rolled out a red carpet for Ms Trump, putting up billboards with her photos across the city.
Earlier this year, she returned to India with her father and other family members for a two-day visit. She gifted her millions of Instagram followers with glimpses of the trip during her stay. She also clicked on a bunch of pictures at the Taj Mahal in Agra with her husband Jared Kushner.
Very active on Instagram, Trump shares several photos from his travels, including those from his visits to India.
