ITBP starts online liquor distribution system for the Central Police Armed Forces | India News

NEW DELHI: Going digital for the first time in the management of the issuance of liquors within the force, the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) has initiated the Centralized Liquor Management System (CLMS); which is also the first of its kind among the Central Police Armed Forces.

There was a long demand from the ITBP jaws that good quality liquor be made available to them in close proximity to their places of origin. Until a few months ago, the Jawans had the option of buying the authorized liquor only in the dining rooms of the formations / units where it is destined and there was no system that allowed them to take the liquor from the dining rooms of other units of the force even if it is based near your hometown / hometown.

Due to this difficulty, the jaws deployed in the remote and remote areas had to face many difficulties to take out or transport the liquor due to different rules and obligations of different states. Additionally, the liquor was sold manually and with limited brands available.

Taking into account facilitating the issue of liquor and at the initiative and directions of SS Deswal, DG, ITBP, the Force Headquarters has prepared a Centralized Liquor Management System (CLMS) for retired and in-service ITBP personnel. The system started working smoothly as of July 31, 2020. Under the system, serving jawans can visit the main page of the ITBP website using the CLMS tab on the portal and can generate their account through a pin online, after that, they can choose the option of a liquor canteen from any Force formation / unit located near their hometown.

Additionally, Jawans can easily access their selected liquor canteen to get their authorized liquor quota upon checkout after login. Under this system, the issuance of liquor is supported by the automatic installation of SMS on the registered personal mobile numbers of the Jawans.

After the introduction of the CLMS system software, Jawans can now select multiple brands of good quality spirits based on their choices and under the prescribed quota. The online availability of the liquor brand, the price, the information, the authorized quota and the online purchase history can also be easily viewed / accessed through the system.

CLMS is a fully transparent and centralized digital system. This system also allows Jawans to easily view the approved online sale price of any variety of spirits or brands, and their personalized previous purchase history.

With this software, the availability of quality liquor for ITBP Jawans has now been guaranteed. Liquor is available to Force personnel under CLMS on the basis of an authorized monthly fee and approximately 85 brands of different types of liquor are available from CLMS. Depending on the requirements, the number of available brands may increase in the future.

Retired and serving Force personnel are now benefiting from this exclusive CLMS launched by ITBP. The force has been receiving positive feedback on the installation from CLMS users from its field units deployed across the country.
