5.15 pm: One of the most important dates on the Indian football calendar, the day of the Kolkata Derby, returns after a long break. Until now, a preserve of the I-League in the national format, the clash of the giants of Kolkata East Bengal and Mohun Bagan has changed its habitat to be part of the Indian Super League starting this season.
This transformation is the result of a metamorphosis in the ownership pattern of the two teams, but the change does not affect the intensity of the rivalry that has been going on for almost a century. Recognized as the largest and oldest football rivalry on the continent, the Kolkata Derby will undoubtedly be a great asset to the country’s premier league in terms of popularity.

The Indian Super League (ISL 2020-21) will mark the return of Major League Baseball competition in India after the national lockdown to prevent the COVID-19 outbreak that was first imposed in March.
The seventh edition of the ISL started inside a bio-bubble in Goa on November 20.
The tournament, which will run for four months, will see 11 teams play each other in a league and playoff format at three venues. Following the inclusion of SC East Bengal, this season will feature 115 games, up from 95 last season.
