Actor Irrfan Khan has been admitted to the ICU at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai, his representatives said. The actor is currently under observation for a colon infection.
A statement from the actor’s official spokesman said: “Yes, it is true that Irrfan Khan is admitted to the ICU in Kokilaben in Mumbai due to a colon infection. We would keep everyone up to date. He is under observation by the doctor. Irrfan in 2018 announced that he had been diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumor and sought treatment abroad. The actor lost his mother, Saeeda Begum, on Saturday, and was reported to have attended his funeral via video call. Irrfan’s mother was 95 years old.
The actor most recently appeared on Angrezi Medium, which was one of the last movies to be released before the national coronavirus blockade. The film was successful at the box office and premiered in streaming.
