Jofra Archer’s fireworks in the final helped RR pass 200 after it looked like they wouldn’t cross that mark even after a blitzkrieg start from Sanju Samson and Steve Smith. Archer finished undefeated with 27 of just 8 balls with 4 sixes. Samson hit 74 of just 32 with 9 sixes and just one of four, while Smith played anchor with 69 of 47 with 4-plus-sixes. The CSK spinners had a steamy day as they gave away 95 runs in their 8 overs. Ngidi went for 56 in his four, with 30 of them in the last over of innings. Curran was the bowlers’ choice when he returned 3/33 while Chahar scored 1/31. (LIVE SCORE CARD)

    BIG MILLION!

What a CSK comeback this has been!

At one point, RR appeared to be sailing over 200 in total. Now, reaching 200 will be difficult.

Curran catches Smith when the batter fails to clear the half-gate fence and finds Jadhav in deep.

Smith throws it up optimistically, relying on his lower hand, but doesn’t get the power.

  • 21:06 (IST)

OUTSIDE? Not really! Technology saves the day!

Tom Curran has been delivered. But there is some confusion here, as there seems to be an error on the part of the referee.

Ngidi brings him back to Tom Curran as the batter scores a punch across the line.

The ball, the umpire feels, hit the bat and went to Dhoni, who appeared to have caught it.

However, it was clear from the responses that the ball had bounced right in front of Dhoni.

The best common sense prevailed in the end when the referees referred him to the third referee who gave the correct decision of NO GO!

    SHUTTER! Uthappa (c du Plessis b Chawla) 5 (9)

Chawla, who has been taken for 50 in 3 overs, comes back and lands a wicket.

CSK must improve on the field. They need to hold onto those opportunities.

    Ngidi comes back and STRIKE!

    CSK HAS SAMSON!

  • 20:25 (IST)

  • 20:23 (IST)

    SIX!

Jadeja of the other, turning the wheel of time, as it is, without much change or success.

This is the highest level T20 hit by Smith and Samson.

  • 20:11 (IST)
