The long-awaited Dream11 IPL matches were announced, some foreign players joined their respective squads, some sweating in the gym while the rest showed off their variety of shots on the nets. Everything is happening in the Dream11 Indian Premier League 2020 as we prepare for the T20 show that starts in 11 days.
Super Kings of Chennai
Let the whistles begin
The Chennai Super Kings took to the field on September 4 after the duration of the quarantine ended.
Another jolt hit CSK’s camp when veteran spinner Harbhajan Singh announced his unavailability in the league’s 13th edition, citing personal reasons.
Dear friends
I will not play IPL this year for personal reasons. These are difficult times and I would look forward to some privacy while spending time with my family. @ChennaiIPL CSK management has been very supportive and I wish you an excellent IPL
Stay safe and Jai Hind– Harbhajan Turban (@harbhajan_singh) September 4, 2020
The yellow brigade was seen enjoying pool and networking sessions in Dubai.
MS Dhoni and Shane Watson were seen batting in the nets against players like Shardul Thakur and Ravindra Jadeja.
Faf du Plessis and Lungi Ngidi also ended their quarantines and joined the camp as of September 6.
Mumbai Indians
One Boom, SIX Variations
We all know Jasprit Bumrah has a lot of tricks up his sleeve, but this time he went one step further by mimicking the bowling actions of six different players, including a quick left arm. Our favorite is number 6. What is yours?
Rahul Chahar’s Innovative Training Drills
The lockdown forced everyone to stay indoors and was particularly harsh for cricketers who couldn’t train outside. Times of adversity call for innovation and the Mumbai Indians leg spinner did exactly that, using all the tools available at home to continue his training. Have a look!
Hyderabad sunrises
Welcome Kane!
The Hyderabad Sunrisers welcomed New Zealand captain Kane Williamson to their team.
The ‘Kane’ does it
Kane’s train wasted no time and began its quarantine with some exercises in the room.
Beach volley, anyone?
As Kane flexed his body within the confines of the room, the rest of the team decided to relax with a fun session of beach volleyball.
Careless whispers
If that weren’t enough to bring the team together, the Orange Army decided to have a little fun in their rec room with a game called “Whisper Challenge” – this was an uproar of laughter.
Royal Challengers Bangalore
Bringing calm to Sharjah – #PlayBold Diaries
The Royal Challengers Bangalore have gone through rigorous training sessions as the team ups the ante with their networking sessions. The men in red and gold traveled to Sharjah from Dubai for a training session that was a game for the boys.
We also got a glimpse of the elegant RCB team room where the children were seen along with their families relaxing as they gathered for some games and a karaoke session.
Oh! And don’t miss the great image of Navdeep Saini next to the beach.
Kolkata Knight Riders
Lock (i.e.) and loaded
KKR sprinter Lockie Ferguson taunted his fans with an in-flight image mask. He asked his fans to play the guessing game if his famous “stache” was on or off this season.
Well, how many of you did well? 😉
Hi DK!
KKR captain Dinesh Karthik returned to the nets after his quarantine period ended. Among the latest to join the lot, DK sure seemed to have enjoyed his stint on the social media!
And, 4 days later, the captain had his teammates Shubman Gill and Rahul Tripathi for company, fooling around on the nets and how!
Kings XI Punjab
On Murugan Ashwin’s birthday, the Kings gave a short interview to the spinner talking about his early days and how he developed as a leg spinner. With Anil Kumble as his head coach, Ashwin has a lot to gain from this IPL.
Chris Gayle’s Balancing Act
The Head of the Universe makes everything exciting and it was interesting to see him push boundaries. In one of those cases, he stepped over the ropes, but we’ll still give it to him for his fun effort.
Royals of Rajasthan
Oh miller that was close
David Miller, the newest addition to the RR unit, chilled out with his teammates on the beach. But he wasn’t in the mood to take it easy on social media and Ankit Rajpoot would know better than anyone.
There was a good mix of relentless practice and some fun as the Rajasthan Royals continued their preparations for IPL 2020.
Anuj Rawat, Manan Vohra and Aniruddha Joshi let their singing do the talking and entertained their teammates.
RR to CSK: we are watching you
While RR did not take shortcuts in their practice, they also kept a close eye on what their opponents were doing, especially the Chennai Super Kings led by MS Dhoni.
Then there were some inspirational words from Robin Uthappa and some really sharp shots from Sanju Samson and young hitting sensation, Yashasvi Jaiswal. The two seemed to be completely calm during the RR net session.
To top it all, there was also a welcome return from Dishant Yagnik. The RR field coach recovered after testing positive for COVID-19 and joined the team in Sharjah.
Capitals of Delhi
The return of Rabada and the great successes of Iyer
In Dubai, meanwhile, Delhi Capitals was proud when Kagiso Rabada, with the assistance of Delhi Capitals coach Ricky Ponting, enjoyed his first net session in the UAE for the 2020 IPL.
There was no shortage of action on the DC networks as Captain Shreyas Iyer looked in good shape and the guys from Mumbai Ajinkya Rahane and Tushar Deshpande, along with ‘Gabbar’ Shikhar Dhawan enjoyed a good fielding drill.
