It has been a horrible campaign for Chennai Super Kings in the 2020 Indian Premier League in the UAE. The team led by MS Dhoni has lost 3 matches in 11 games so far, and is reeling in the last position in the 2020 IPL Points Chart with 6 points from 11 games, not to mention the worst Net Running Rate among all teams. It was one of CSK’s worst performances against the Mumbai Indians on Friday, when they lost by 10 wickets.
It was CSK’s biggest loss in IPL history in terms of terrain and also in terms of number of balls remaining (46). CSK also posted its worst IPL power play score in the same game: 24/5 in 6 overs. (Total IPL coverage 2020)

After the loss, CSK captain MS Dhoni agreed that it might be time for CSK to look to the next year and start planning which players they should look for for the 2021 IPL season.
“We need to have a clear image for next year. The type of auction, where the venues will be, and you want to give the guys a chance to perform and show their talent, ”Dhoni said at the post-match presentation ceremony.

Cricketer-turned-commentator Simon Doull further said he hopes to see at least one special entry from Dhoni this season and asked if he would play the remaining three CSK games.
“The captain can’t run away, so I’ll be playing every game,” replied MS Dhoni with a smile.
The next CSK will face RCB at IPL 2020.
