IPL 2020: ‘Voice repeatedly comes from the heart that Suryakumar Yadav should have been on the Australia tour’ – Aakash Chopra – cricket

Former India starter Aakash Chopra said Mumbai Indians right-hander Suryakumar Yadav should have named on limited sides of India for the Australia tour.

Suryakumar Yadav has scored two fifty points in his last four matches at IPL 2020. So far he has scored four fifty points in the tournament, playing a pivotal role in MI reaching their sixth tournament final. However, Suryakumar did not find a place in India’s ODI or T20I squads that will travel to Australia after the IPL.

“The voice comes repeatedly from the heart that Suryakumar Yadav should have been on the Australian tour,” Chopra said in a YouTube video.

Suryakumar has been one of the most consistent players for the Mumbai Indians in recent IPL seasons, scoring 512, 424 runs in 2018 and 2019. This year he has already scored 461 runs averaging 41.90.

IM No.3 scored an impressive 51 in IM’s 57-run win over Delhi Capitals in 2020 IPL Qualifier 1.

Another man who impressed besides Suryakumar was Ishan Kishan.

Chopra also added that the southpaw should also be considered for the India team.

“Ishan Kishan’s name should also be there along with Sanju Samson and Rishabh Pant on the list of potential wicketkeeper-hitters for the Indian team,” Chopra said.

Chopra also praised Hardik Pandya for his fiery tackles towards the end that led to MI to 200 batting first.

“Ashwin was trying to get the Delhi Capitals back in the game, but they couldn’t take advantage of that. First Suryakumar Yadav, then Ishan Kishan and finally Hardik Pandya criticized them, ”he said.

“The capitals of Delhi won the draw and then won nothing. That’s the only thing they won at night. They have played against the Mumbai Indians three times and have lost by 9 wickets, 5 wickets and then 50-60 runs. What are they doing? ”Chopra said.
