Three-time Indian Premier League champions Chennai Super Kings are struggling to find consistency right now in the current IPL season in the UAE. The team led by MS Dhoni started on the right note, earning a victory over the defending champions the Mumbai Indians in the first game of the season.
But since then, CSK have lost their next two matches against Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals, and there appears to be a lack of balance in CSK’s unity.

In a recent chat on the Star Sports Cricket Connected chat show, former Indian pacemaker Irfan Pathan explained the reasons for CSK’s struggles in the United Arab Emirates. Pathan said not bringing in a replacement for Suresh Raina has hampered the team’s balance.
“For the first time it is sought that the Chennai Super Kings team is not resolved. They had problems before the start of the IPL, Suresh Raina came back and they haven’t taken a replacement for him so far, “said Pathan.
“That’s why there have been many problems in the composition of the team. If Suresh Raina had been hitting at No. 3, they could have played an extra pitcher. Currently, they have only 5 bowlers. Kedar Jadhav has not been beaten by MS Dhoni is also cause for concern, “he added.

“The teams that have been playing with an additional bowler in the IPL look stronger. More than a finisher, MS Dhoni is a great finisher. You need to make sure you play at least 10 overs and the Chennai Super Kings must place an additional bowler. Then the rest of things will settle down, ”Pathan said.
CSK will face Sunrisers Hyderabad at IPL 2020 on Friday.
