Matches are intense and fast-paced in the Indian Premier League (IPL), leaving players with little time to regroup once they’ve given their all on the field. Therefore, when players have some time, they make the most of it by participating in various recreational activities, as was evident in a recent video shared by SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH). The SRH team, led by skipper David Warner, decided to spend their day off playing beach volleyball.

The video begins with David Warner leveling the sand on his court before the game. Despite being a fun game, Warner, the true competitor that he is, gives his all for the team’s cause. From smashing the ball to performing defensive duties, he did it all. In fact, he even took a few knocks to the knee by the team.
According to the protocol established by the BCCI, players cannot get out of their bio-bubbles. Warner and his team hope this fun activity will help them rejuvenate after a disappointing performance against the Mumbai Indians in their previous game.
The defending champions stopped Hyderabad’s two-game winning streak by beating them handsomely by 34 runs at Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Sunday, in what was their first afternoon game of the season.
However, ahead of their next league match against the last Kings XI Punjab on October 8, SRH has suffered a major blow as their starting pitcher Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been ruled out of the tournament. The club announced that Prithvi Raj Yarra will enter as his replacement for the remaining matches.

Bhuvneshwar was SRH’s second player after all-rounder Mitchell Marsh was ruled out of the current edition after sustaining an injury on the field.
Despite the big setback, Warner and company need to regroup and prepare for their next games. After a few extra days off, SRH will once again be back on the hectic schedule, with its next three games scheduled to take place over a six-day span of October 8-13.
