Bollywood star Anushka Sharma cheered on her husband Virat Kohli’s Indian Premier League (IPL) Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) team, after they started this year’s season on a winning note, beating SunRisers Hyderabad ( SRH) for 10 runs. RCB appeared to have trouble at one point, with Jonny Bairstow well prepared to lead SRH to her 164-race goal. But some brilliance from Yuzvendra Chahal and a spectacular collapse on the hitting side saw Kohli’s team take both points from their first meeting. By sharing a picture of RCB players celebrating a wicket on her Instagram story, Anushka wrote “winning start” along with a series of emojis.

The match also saw an impressive first half century of IPL from young RCB rookie Devdutt Padikkal.
RCB fans also enjoyed another class demonstration from AB de Villiers, who gave the team a good shot with a 51 of 30 balls.
But it was Chahal, 3-18 from his four overs, who was the winner of the match for RCB.
First, he eliminated Manish Pandey to break a dangerous 71-run resistance between himself and Bairstow.
Then, in his last over, he defeated Bairstow and Vijay Shankar in consecutive deliveries to turn the momentum completely in favor of RCB.

Those wickets opened the floodgates as SRH lost eight wickets in the space of five overs and RCB recorded a relatively comfortable win at the end.
Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli are expecting their first child in January 2021. The couple took to social media to announce Anushka’s pregnancy late last month.
