Chennai Super Kings have been unable to improve on their past performances this Indian Premier League season. There were many eyes on CSK this year due to MS Dhoni’s retirement from international cricket before the start of the season. But his season got off on the wrong foot as several players and staff members tested positive for Covid-19, while Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh left the UAE for India.
While they won the opener against the Mumbai Indians, CSK has been in free fall ever since. They have won just 2 matches out of 7 and languish in 7th place in the 2020 IPL points table. Batting has been a major issue for CSK as the middle order doesn’t shoot at all.

Former India starter Virender Sehwag spoke about CSK’s troubles and said captain MS Dhoni has to move up the order to save the season.
“MS Dhoni needs to stop thinking about other players. He needs to think of himself first and hit the bat higher. You can’t just keep promoting other hitters in order. For CSK to win, Dhoni will have to raise the order, Virender Sehwag said on his Facebook channel titled ‘Viru Ki Baithak’.
“Shane Watson and Faf du Plessis are under constant pressure that if they don’t get CSK off to a good start, the rest of the team won’t be able to get them to a good score.

“Rayudu has to understand that in T20 cricket, the game ends after 20 overs, and he can’t start hitting at 20,” Sehwag said.
“Sam Curran was rocked by RCB’s Virat Kohli in the last game, so maybe this time MS Dhoni will think about replacing him for the final overs with Deepak Chahar,” Sehwag said.
CSK will be looking to get back on the winning track when they face Sunrisers Hyderabad on Tuesday.
