IPL 2020 LIVE SCORE, Mumbai Indians vs Kolkata Knight Riders latest updates: Done and dusted! Mumbai is chasing 149 with eight wickets in hand and 19 balls to spare. KKR has been overtaken by the best team this season. This is Mumbai ‘s 21st victory over Kolkata in IPL.
Mumbai Indians love to play against KKR. Before the start of the season, they had their best winning percentage (for teams they have played 10 or more matches against) against Kolkata: 76 percent, with 19 wins in 25 matches. They continued that dominance with a full 49-race win over them earlier this edition in Abu Dhabi and would be looking to get a double over them this season again in the same place.
And with the way they’re playing, there’s a good chance they’ll hit that double. They are on a winning streak and will enter the game after four consecutive victories. In the last match, they beat the formidable DC and it is the full contribution that was again the key.
Quinton de Kock has found the way, Suryakumar Yadav has looked impressive with two fifty in a row. Ishan Kishan also timed the ball well. Rohit has been a bit inconsistent, but the last time he played KKR, he made 80 of 54 balls and was named Man of the Match. Middle and lower order can tear attacks. So KKR has a lot to ponder. They need their bowlers to step up after the loss to RCB.
On a slow surface in Sharjah, they conceded a 194 over par against RCB in their final match and then collapsed to 112/9 in the chase. His hitters need to shoot after the abject performance. With Tom Banton coming in, Rahul Tripathi was again rejected in the order against RCB, but they would look to bring him back to open innings considering the fact that he had hit 81 against CSK when he moved up the order. Nitish Rana, Eoin Morgan and Andre Russell need to improve their game. Maybe KKR should try to push Russell up the order to get the best of him. With pitches getting slower, KKR could look to bring Kuldeep Yadav back again.
With the form and confidence that MI has and considering their record over KKR, they start as favorites.
