Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli returned to form in the previous game against Rajasthan Royals. Kohli, who only had figures of 3, 1 and 14, went on to score an undefeated 72 to help his team chase a total of 159 in Abu Dhabi.
Now Kohli, who is the IPL’s leading run scorer with 5,502 runs in 181 games, has a chance to make history against the Delhi Capitals on Monday. Kohli is 10 races away completing 9,000 races in T20.

If he manages to get those 10 runs on Monday, he would become the first Indian player to reach the milestone.
Overall, Kohli would become the seventh batter to reach 9,000 T20 runs.
In 270 innings, Kohli has 8,990 runs in T20 with an average of 41.05 and a strike rate of 134.25 with five hundred and 9 fifty to his name.
Kohli is also on the verge of becoming the sixth player to reach 200 or more sixes in IPL. It is currently at no. 6th place on the list of hitters with plus six in the tournament with 192 sixes to his name.
If Kohli reaches 8 sixes, he would hit the 200 six mark and become the fourth Indian to do so after Rohit Sharma, Suresh Raina and MS Dhoni.
RCB, so far, has won two of four games in the current IPL season.
