Royal Challengers Bangalore fell short against a marauding Delhi Capitals team on Monday. After being put at bat, the Delhi Capitals scored 196-for-four at Dubai International Cricket Stadium with Marcus Stoinis and Prithvi Shaw shining with the bat. DC hitters never settled for RCB hitters as they struggled to get their innings going. Eventually, they were only able to handle 137 runs as DC won the match by a mammoth 59-run margin.
RCB looked impressive in the thirteenth season of the Indian Premier League and have already accumulated 3 wins from 5 matches. But there is one aspect of the game that RCB needs to work on and it was highlighted by RCB skipper Virat Kohli after the match.
Kohli regretted the catches left by his team after their 59-run beating at the hands of Delhi Capitals in the IPL.
All-rounder Marcus Stoinis was brought down at 30 by Yuzvendra Chahal, after which he went on to score a 53 of 26 balls.

Kohli himself had knocked down KL Rahul twice in RCB’s loss to Kings XI Punjab earlier in the tournament.
“Those important intermediate opportunities, we must take advantage of them when the opportunity presents itself, it is not like we are missing half opportunities, we are eliminating assistants and those things hurt you,” Kohli said at the post-match presentation ceremony.
“We came into the game after the first six and then Stoinis hit really well at the end, we gave him a life, he took the game away from us,” he added.
Delhi got off to a good start with starters Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan adding 68 runs. The RCB bowlers were able to remove things, picking up quick wickets before slipping again.
“I think they got off to a great start in the first six, then we got it back in the next eight overs and the last phase again eluded us,” Kohli said.

RCB has won three of its five matches. However, both losses have occurred while pursuing big goals.
“I think it’s about correcting those little mistakes. The conversation around the chase is always to have a great association, with the dew setup if we had held 7-8 wickets at the end of 10 overs the game would have started, ”Kohli said.
