Bravo, who has seen his employer closely, said that Dhoni has been thinking about the transition at CSK for a while now.
“I know it’s been in the back of your mind for some time, I mean we all have to step aside at some point. It’s just a matter of when … when to step aside and hand it over to a Raina or someone younger, ”Bravo told ABP News when asked about Dhoni’s plans for his successor at CSK.

In particular, Suresh Raina, who withdrew from this year’s IPL due to personal reasons, has been the official vice captain for the past few years. However, CSK has yet to name a new vice-captain for this season or a replacement for Raina on the team.
Bravo said that Dhoni’s retirement from international cricket will not change the way he leads CSK in the IPL, which begins on September 19 in the UAE.
“He doesn’t have to worry about a billion people now, it’s just CSK the franchise, but I don’t think that will change who he is, won’t it change the way he leads the team? It will definitely be the same person, ”Bravo said.
Bravo, who is CSK’s second most wicketed player, said the players, management, owners and Dhoni are the reasons why it is such a successful team in the IPL.
“We have a very talented team, full of experience and we also have a management team, which is very relaxed and balanced and also the owners… All these things come together and play a role (in making CSK a successful franchise). We do not have any external pressure from the owners or management. We don’t feel pressured with MS (Dhoni) as captain, ”said Bravo, who recently became the first cricketer to claim 500 T20 wickets.
“I think CSK has one of the most loyal fans, whether we play in Mumbai, Delhi or Bangalore, you see a lot of yellow jerseys in the stands. We enjoy the success of others, so these are the main reasons for CSK’s success. “
When asked about his feelings about staying in a biosecurity bubble, the off-roader said he is lucky to have had a chance to play.
“Being in a bubble with no fans is sad, but we still have to be thankful that we at least have the opportunity to play again,” Bravo said.
