Rahul Tewatia smashed five sixes in 18 with a hit from Sheldon Cottrell
Mayank Agarwal’s first hundred IPL was dwarfed by a 53 out of six tacks from Rahul Tewatia, who with the help of half a century of rapid fire from Sanju Samson and Steve Smith, helped the Rajasthan Royals achieve the highest chase of 224 IPL , against Kings XI Punjab, in Sharjah on Sunday.
Promoted to No. 4 on the high score issue, the move appeared to have backfired for Smith & Co. with Tewatia struggling to move early in its innings as the order rate increased. However, he turned KXIP around on a weak 18th over Sheldon Cottrell, after sending off a free-flowing Samson, to write an impressive win for his side by four wickets. With two out of two wins, Royals edged out KXIP to take second place on the points table, behind Delhi Capitals.
