IPL LIVE SCORE 2020, Rajasthan Royals vs Kings XI Punjab: Six out of the first delivery of Curran’s second change, with Rahul hitting from the meat of the bat to redirect the ball past the deep midwicket as it features the highest association for any wicket at IPL 2020 so far. Two fours, three singles and wide in the remaining innings of the over as KL Rahul brings in his 17th IPL fifty, his second consecutive score of over fifty at this IPL.
Advance: Rajasthan Royals (RR) will look to continue their winning momentum when they face Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) on Sunday (September 27). The team led by Steve Smith beat last year’s runners-up Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 16 runs to start their 2020 IPL campaign on a positive note. The fact that RR recorded the victory against such a strong IPL team and without the services of Jos Buttler and Ben Stokes would have given them a lot of confidence.
Good news for RR is that Jos Buttler, who has completed his quarantine time since arriving in the UAE from England, will play the match against Punjab. Without Stokes on the team, Smith, who started against CSK, is expected to drop to No. 4 in batting order, with Yashaswi Jaiswal starting and Sanju Samson at 3.
RR hopes Samson will do well against Punjab as well. He had smashed 74 of just 32 balls, including 9 sixes and 1 four against MS Dhoni’s team. With Buttler coming in, RR’s top 3 is filled with fierce hitters.
On the other hand, Punjab will also enter this contest with a lot of confidence after their big win against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) two days ago. Led by captain KL Rahul, who hit 132 unbeaten with just 69 balls, Punjab had posted a whopping 206/3 in his 20 overs, hitting first. They also came out fine with the ball in hand, firing RCB by just 109 and sealing the victory by 97 runs.
KXIP has a good balance of spin and rhythm in their XI game, and they played brilliantly as a group against RCB.
Both teams have momentum with them and it will be interesting to see which one of them wins the battle on Sunday.
