IPL 2020, KKR predicted XI against DC: Kolkata Knight Riders could leave Narine and debut in hand to open strong – cricket

Kolkata Knight Riders got their 2020 IPL campaign back on track with successive victories. The team coached by Dinesh Karthik lost their opening match to defending champions Mumbai Indians, but came back strong to win against Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals. On both occasions, his youngsters led the way with bat and ball.

KKR will now face another side that is off to a decent start in this year’s IPL. On Saturday, KKR will face Delhi Capitals in the second match of the doubleheader in Sharjah. (Total IPL coverage 2020)

Here is KKR’s planned XI for DC’s match:

Shubman Gill: Shubman Gill was KKR’s top scorer in their last two games and looks like their best hitter right now. The way he remained undefeated to finish the match against SRH will surely give the KKR management confidence.

Tom Banton: The English wicket-keeper hitter is one of the rising stars of the shorter format. He has shown his class in the latest edition of BBL and has also performed well in his chances for England. It might be a good idea to hand him the IPL debut in place of Sunil Narine, who hasn’t been able to get off to a good start at the top.

Dinesh Karthik: The KKR captain has yet to find his touch in this IPL. With a duck and 1 in the last two games, Karthik will be looking to turn things around against the capitals of Delhi.

Nitish Rana: The southpaw hasn’t gotten the big scores, but he’s looked in very good touch in every KKR match at IPL 2020 so far. You get the feeling that it’s only a matter of time before you have a big one.

Eoin Morgan: After a stuttering start to the first game, Morgan showed exactly why he is one of the top finishers in cue ball cricket. The England captain was undefeated in the last two KKR matches by playing big shots and also ensuring stability in the middle order.

Andre Russell: He threatened to take the party away from the Rajasthan Royals. He had just started throwing those big punches when he cut a wide one from Ankit Rajpoot to get pierced. Russell will look to make it count against DC on a small piece of Sharjah.

Pat Cummins: If there was any doubt about the grand prize KKR paid for Cummins, then the Australian closer erased it all with his superb new ball spells against SRH and RR. Cummins is also a useful hitter at No. 7, as he demonstrated by hitting Jasprit Bumrah for four sixes in the opener against MI.

Kamlesh Nagarkoti: What a fine young talent this man is. It is a fast launcher, having a fast gorilla and a deceptive slower one. He is a weapon fielder and can also rotate the strike when needed with the bat.

Kuldeep Yadav: KKR has come in with 7 bowling options in their last two games, but Narine’s poor condition could tempt them to play Banton, meaning Kuldeep Yadav will return as the team leader.

Shivam Mavi:Mavi got the big wickets from Jos Buttler and Sanju Samson the other night and will be looking forward to a crack against Shikhar Dhawan, Prithvi Shaw and Shreyas Iyer on Saturday.

Varun Chakravarthy:What an inspiring selection it was for KKR at the SRH match. They decided to drop an extra batter and play Chakravarthy. The off-spinner has returned the faith with figures of 2/25 and 1/25 in the last two games.
