The thirteenth season of the Indian Premier League has been an upside-down affair with teams doing their best to secure their playoff spots. While former champions Chennai Super Kings have struggled without Suresh Raina on the team, the Royal Challengers Bangalore have impressed with their full display. CSK, as they languish in seventh place with just two wins, while RCB is third with five wins out of seven. In previous seasons it used to be the other way around.

However, two teams have been ominous throughout the season and former Indian running back Ajit Agarkar also believes they are likely to make the playoffs. Agarkar has said that the Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians have become the top two teams in the current Indian Premier League (IPL) so far.
The Indians of Mumbai and the capitals of Delhi are the top two ranked teams in the points table so far and both sides have 10 points from seven matches.
Agarkar has said that in his opinion the Delhi Capitals, Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will definitely qualify for the playoffs. He still does not think RCB will make the IPL playoffs as he said the fight for fourth place will be between Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Speaking on Star Sports ‘Cricket Connected’ show, Agarkar said: “It is such a close tournament, with many ups and downs, but clearly Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals look like the two best teams, in terms of form and personnel. KKR, in my opinion, got a real extra win against CSK. They are my third team. The fourth team for me is between the Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad. I had CSK at the beginning of the tournament, but right now, these two teams look a little better than the ones CSK plays. “
Sunrisers Hyderabad is currently in fifth place in the 2020 IPL rankings with six points from seven games. The team led by David Warner will be in action later today against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
