IPL 2020: ‘I can’t believe I’m not on the Indian side’, Shane Warne surprised 25-year-old batsman who doesn’t play for Team India – cricket

Sanju Samson has been racking up a lot of applause for his swashbuckling hitting in the thirteenth season of the Indian Premier League. The 26-year-old is in splendid form and has scored runs in just 2 games. Not that he has scored runs, but the way he has dominated bowlers is something that has mesmerized the cricket world.

In RR’s opener against Chennai Super Kings, Samson threw 74 runs on just 32 balls to propel him to a whopping 216/7 total. RR took the victory after CSK was unable to pursue the target. Along the way, Samson scored the fastest half-century IPL overall by an Indian. His entries consisted of 1 limit and 9 sixes.

Former Australia player and Rajasthan Royals brand ambassador Shane Warne was in awe of Samson’s hitting after the CSK game and commented that he was surprised the batsman was not playing cricket for India in all formats.

“I cannot believe that he (Sanju Samson) is not on the Indian side in all three formats, he is a great player, I am looking forward to seeing him in the IPL. Your best players should be facing most of the balls. If you look at our side, Buttler, Smith and Samson are our best hitters, ”Warne said on Star Sports.

Samson did not disappoint Warne in RR’s next match as he scored 85 runs on 42 balls against Kings XI Punjab and helped his team chase a record 223 points.

Samson’s inclusion on the Indian side has been talked about a lot in the past and fans have clamored for him to be included in the team. But Samson has so far only coached 4 games for the India team even though he debuted with the national team in 2015. But if Samson continues to perform in the same way throughout the season, then it would not be easy for the selectors to ignore him for upcoming matches.
