IPL 2020 LIVE SCORE, Mumbai Indians vs Delhi Capitals latest updates: DONE AND DUSTED! MI beat DC by five wickets and with this, they also displaced Delhi at the top of the table.
Advance: Mumbai Indians collide with Delhi Capitals in match number 27 of the Indian Premier League at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
MI would look to maintain its position at the top of the table when it faces DC in Abu Dhabi. Mumbai is second in the table with eight points from six games, while DC is up with 10 points.
Both teams will enter the match with great confidence after having won their last three matches respectively. MI beat RR convincingly in their last match, while DC easily beat the same opponents in their last match. Like last year, MI has played as a unit with different individuals stepping up at different times. DC has also not depended on individuals and played as a unit.
The biggest threat to DC will be the powerful MI. Hardik Pandya and Kieron Pollard have been in good shape and hit them big. His higher order looks good too, it will be a challenge for DC bowlers to stop this rowdy IM batting lineup.
It will be a battle of power against intelligence. MI has power in their batting lineup, while DC’s bowlers have thrown smartly throughout the tournament. Rabada and Nortje have shown style and aggression, while Ashwin, Axar and Harshal have shown their ingenuity with changes in length, rhythm and variations.
There’s also a lot of quirkiness in DC’s batting lineup and with Shimron Hetmyer hitting in form in the last game against RR, his batting lineup looks formidable.
MI’s pacemakers have impressed and Rahul Chahar has played the roles of Batman and Robin over and over again. It will be fascinating to watch the DC hitters battle against players like Bumrah, Pattinson and Boult. MI needs more of its fifth and sixth bowling options and this is where Krunal Pandya, who has been inconsistent, and Kieron Pollard will need to step up.
There is very little that separates the two sides. And we can expect a cookie in Abu Dhabi.
