IPL 2020: ‘Hard work never goes out of style’, Mohammad Kaif names ‘the best role model for every young man’ – cricket

Ajinkya Rahane has received much applause for his entries against Royal Challengers Bangalore. Rahane was unable to get going in the five games he previously played in the tournament and his selection in the XI game against RCB attracted attention. But Rahane restored the Delhi Capitals’ faith in him with a guaranteed hit of 60 to lead his team to the playoffs.

DC was in a place of trouble as Prithvi Shaw had just lost his window for little money. But Rahane along with Shikhar Dhawan helped DC record a complete six-wicket victory over RCB.

After the victory, DC assistant coach Mohammad Kaif praised Rahane, calling him the best role model for all young people.

Chasing 153 against RCB, Dhawan and Rahane started with the bat for Delhi as both hitters played 54 and 60 hits respectively. Delhi won the match by six wickets with six balls to spare.

With this victory, Delhi Capitals qualified for the playoffs and the team will now have two chances to qualify for the final after finishing second in the points table.

“If you don’t prepare, you are preparing to fail. @ ajinkyarahane88 lives up to this saying and is the role model for every young man with his determined approach. His role in winning the most crucial game for @DelhiCapitals shows why hard work never goes out of style, ”Kaif tweeted.

Rahane has played six games so far in the current edition of the IPL, managing to score 111 runs with an average of 18.50.

With this victory, Delhi will now play the Mumbai Indians in the first qualifier and the winner of that match will qualify directly for the final.

Previously, Devdutt Padikkal and AB de Villiers played strokes of 50 and 35 respectively, as Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) posted a total of 152/7 in the twenty assigned overs.

For Delhi Capitals, Anrich Nortje took three plots while Kagiso Rabada took two plots.
