Ishant’s exit from the tournament would be a huge blow to the franchise as they had already lost spinner Amit Mishra previously due to injury. Delhi Capitals also saw goalie and hitter Rishabh Pant get injured last week, leaving him out of the all-important matchup against the Mumbai Indians on Sunday.
Captain Shreyas Iyer, after the match, said Pant is likely to miss a week of action at IPL 2020. Previously, it was spinner R Ashwin who had also suffered a shoulder sprain early in the tournament, but has now recovered .
