Delhi Capitals will be looking to be the first team to reach the final of the 2020 IPL and a victory over the Mumbai Indians in the first Qualifier will make it possible for them. MI have been one of the best teams this season, while DC had lost four games in a row before finally winning against Royal Challengers Bangalore to qualify. DC may look to play an unexpected trump card and on slow surfaces in the UAE, this can turn out to be a match-winning move.

Here is our predicted DC XI vs MI:
1.Shikhar Dhawan: Shikhar Dhawan has been so good when he’s good, but he looks so normal when he’s not performing. It is never a middle ground for Dhawan, and he would expect to be on the far right of the spectrum against the Mumbai Indians.

2.Prithvi Shaw: Prithvi Shaw has struggled in recent games and feels like nothing is working for him. He might get one more shot, but if DC makes it to the final and he doesn’t act, Ricky Ponting has something to think about before the clash at the top.

3.Ajinkya Rahane: Ajinkya Rahane has brought a balance to DC’s batting order and after fifty wins against RCB, he has achieved no. 3 slot yours.
4.Shreyas Iyer (c): Shreyas Iyer still couldn’t find the consistency he was looking for. But it’s two more games at least and he hopes to get two good ones for his team.
5.Rishabh Pant (week): Rishabh Pant hasn’t been his best explosive at this year’s IPL and his fights have really hampered DC’s middle order. I would hope to fire some greats in the playoffs.
6. Marcus Stoinis: Marcus Stoinis started the tournament brilliantly, but has lost his form with both the bat and the ball as the season progressed. You need to get your rhythm back.
7. Sandeep Lamichhane: Daniel Sams gave away 40 runs in his 4 overs and got no ground against RCB. With the UAE’s launches slowing down, DC can bring in Sandeep Lamichhane, who can extract an unexpected advantage from the surface against MI. It could be the trump card for Delhi, if used correctly.
8.Harshal Patel: If DC brings Lamichhane, then they have to bring an additional seamer at Harshal Patel. There have been some doubts about R. Ashwin’s physical condition and it is possible that he will be left out instead of Harshal.
9.Axar Patel: DC would certainly miss R Ashwin on the team, but Axar Patel has been good this season and is expected to make up for his absence.
10.Kagiso Rabada: Kagiso Rabada proved that he still has what it takes to get the job done against RCB, and will be eager to hold onto the Purple Cap with Jasprit Bumrah closing in.
11.Anrich Nortje: Anrich Nortje gave his best against RCB and will build confidence in the match to challenge MI in the first qualifying.
Predicted ST XI vs IM: 1 Shikhar Dhawan, 2 Prithvi Shaw, 3 Ajinkya Rahane, 4 Shreyas Iyer (c), 5 Rishabh Pant (week), 6 Marcus Stoinis, 7 Sandeep Lamichhane, 8 Axar Patel, 9 Ravichandran Ashwin, 10 Kagiso Rabada, 11 Anrich Nortje
