Chennai Super Kings head coach Stephen Fleming said Thursday that the team used the six-day break to “get some clarity” on what it needed to do to get its IPL campaign back on track.
The three-time champion team hasn’t gotten off to a better start, having lost two of its first three games.
“It came at a good time because the first three games were in rapid succession and all the games were on different fields, so you have to appreciate trying to read the conditions, because each game was predominantly the first team to play there.

“And also after a couple of challenges that we had off the field, we have used this break quite well, we got some clarity on what we have to do and we have practiced very well,” Fleming told CSK website before Friday’s game against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
He said hitter Ambati Rayudu and all-rounder Dwayne Bravo are available for selection.
While Rayudu, who starred in CSK’s win over the Mumbai Indians in the first match of the tournament, missed the next two matches due to a hamstring injury, the veteran West Indies player has not appeared in none of the matches so far due to injury.
When asked how it would help to play four of the next five games in one place (Dubai), he said it would be helpful to adapt and try to read the conditions on one field.
“I am looking forward to a little more performance than the last time we played in Dubai, where we were beaten by Delhi Capitals. There were a number of areas that we weren’t happy with and we’ve worked hard on, ”he said.

Asked how much the teams would have learned about the conditions after playing three games each, he said that from his point of view a lot has been learned, adding that it has been a difficult start and “we have to overcome that and restart well afterwards. of this rest “.
“Yesterday I heard comments that teams are still learning, have had the benefit of playing on one field and are learning on others, so I’m not sure.
“But from our point of view, we certainly learned a lot, and even in the six days it has taken now, observing and testing and working on the characteristics of each of the terrains has been beneficial,” he added.
