“A memorable campaign had a disappointing ending, but the RCB players relish the final moments together in the locker room before flying out of Dubai. PS: After roughly 80 consecutive days, this is our last 9:00 am video for the #IPL, “RCB tweeted while sharing the video.

The former South Africa captain, who was the team’s third top scorer this season, said they took their “best shot” and came away with a lot of positives. De Villiers scored 454 runs in 15 games, aided by five fifties at a hit rate of 158.7.

“To all of our RCB fans, thank you so much for the support. I’m sorry I didn’t go all the way. We did our best and we had a lot of fun. There are many positive aspects that we will take into account in the future. Thank you very much for supporting us and always being behind us, “said de Villiers in the video uploaded to the RCB Twitter account.

Addressing his teammates after their defeat, captain Virat Kohli said that the way the team fought to the end is something they can be proud of and build on the positives heading into next season.

He also thanked the support staff, especially the coaches, for creating a “brilliant structure.”

“I think we played good consistent cricket and fell in the back. We probably didn’t play our best cricket from that Mumbai match onwards that we played here (Abu Dhabi). I would have loved to go even further and I know the fans He really wanted us to go further. But some positives this season, guys like Devdutt (Padikkal) joined the team and they had a great season as a starter. Siraj came back well after a tough season last year. A lot of positives and something to do. we can definitely carry on, “said Kohli
