IPL 2020: AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli hit record milestone during KKR clash – cricket

They led the team to 194 of the next 46 balls, thus completing their position of more than the 10th century. De Villiers was the aggressor in the stands scoring 73 (33) while Kohli 22 ran 14 balls. By hitting two, Kohli and de Villiers also brought their total partners to 3,000 runs.

Along with them, the second largest number of stands in more than a century also belongs to Kohli and RCB. Kohli and former RCB hitter Chris Gayle have been involved in partnerships for more than nine centuries. The former inaugural Sunrisers Hyderabad couple of David Warner and Shikhar Dhawan have added six-century partnerships, while the current Warner and Bairstow couple are one behind with five. Gautam Gambhir and Robin Uthappa, who formed one of KKR’s most successful starting couples, have also added five-century positions between them.
