iPhone SE: Unlike the original, the new one doesn’t have a headphone jack

From Apple new iPhone SE for 2020 it serves as a long sequel to its 2016 budget iPhone. With a four-year gap between the new iPhone SE and the old, Apple included many welcome updates, including wireless charging, best camera specs and water resistance. But for wired headphone users, another change may be more difficult: The new iPhone SE doesn’t have a headphone jack.

Since 2017 and starting with the iPhone 7, Apple has started to bypass the audio port of its phones and has not looked back. This is unlike, say, Google, which didn’t outfit its 2019 Pixel 4 flagship with a headphone jack, but included the port on its budget Pixel 3A phone. If you do not want to listen to music or calls through the speaker of the phone, you must use wireless Bluetooth headphones, connect a dongle or use headphones that connect through the Lightning port of the phone.
