Delhi Crime has become the first Indian show to win an international Emmy award. The show has won the award for Best Dramatic Series at the 48 International Emmy Awards that took place practically this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The show that is written and directed by Richie Mehta features actress Shefali Shah (DCP Vartika Chaturvedi) as the main character. In addition to being a trend on social media, the show’s great victory at the 48th International Emmy Awards saw several B-town celebrities take to social media to congratulate the team.

Taking the Instagram stories, filmmaker Zoya Akhtar, who directed Shefali in ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ wrote, ‘India just won her first Emmy. Congratulations Richie Mehta, Kilian Kerwin and Shefali Shah ‘. Meanwhile, Shefali Shah took to Instagram to share her excitement with her fans for the big win. She shared a post that she described as “OMGGGGGGGGGGGG OMGGGGGGGGGGGG OMGGGGGGGGGGGG”.
