Interior Minister Amit Shah is recovering from Covid-19, which will likely be discharged soon


Union Interior Minister Amit Shah has recovered from the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) and is likely to be discharged soon, officials from the Indian Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) said on Saturday in Delhi.

“Sh. Amit Shah, Honorable Minister of the Interior, is admitted to AIIMS, New Delhi, for post COVID Care. He has recovered and is likely to be discharged shortly, ”said Dr. Aarti Vij, president of AIIMS Protocol and Media Division.

Shah had tested positive for Covid-19 on August 2 and then tested negative for the viral illness on August 14. However, he was admitted back to AIIMS on August 18 for medical care after recovering from the viral infection.

“Sh Amit Shah, Honorable Minister of the Interior has been complaining of fatigue and body aches for the past 3-4 days. He has tested negative for Covid -19 and has been admitted to AIIMS for post-COVID care. He feels comfortable and continues his work from the hospital, ”hospital officials had said.
