As the drugs angle in the Sushant Singh Rajput case widens, a source on Wednesday revealed sensational details. The man who has helped agencies trace ties to drug cartels spoke exclusively to Republic stating that the lead actors obtain drugs from young artists.
“The junior artist collects drugs for the senior artist thinking that this will help them professionally. However, finding suppliers is not difficult as Mumbai is such a big place. Cocaine, however, is not available because flights are suspended.” the source said.
Furthermore, the source claimed that most of the people in Bollywood use drugs.
“Most of the people in Bollywood are taking it. I cannot name builders and politicians. It is a secret job. The SIM card is disassembled after use. There are many things that are hidden and now things are opening up,” he added .
Earlier in the day, Republic TV stung a street drug dealer who admitted he can “fix” cannabis, marijuana, “white stuff,” MD, cocaine, and other drugs if told “an hour before.” The drug dealer who is stung also says that a Bollywood actress had come to them for drugs for their party. He also ensures that he will get “whatever drugs are needed” while warning the Republic TV undercover reporter not to “involve him in any matter.”

Showik’s drug talks come to the fore
After the NCB arrested a suspected drug trafficker named Zaid on Tuesday who has “ties” to its investigation in the drug trafficking case related to Sushant’s death, sources told the Republic Media Network that Zaid revealed the name of another person named Basit. who was in contact with Rhea Chakraborty’s brother, Showik. Previously, sources said that Zaid knew Showik and supplied him with drugs, but according to the latest contributions, Basit was an intermediary and has been arrested.
Additionally, in a major reveal, Showik’s drug chat has also come to the fore and NCB sources have confirmed that the agency has found strong evidence of how it used to speak to drug dealers. It was Showik who introduced Sushant’s home manager Samuel Miranda to street drug dealers, CDRs and chat shows, according to sources.

NCB to summon Rhea and Showik
Meanwhile, Zaid will perform on the court on Wednesday afternoon. Sources said that after making this breakthrough in the case, the OCN will soon summon Rhea and Showik for questioning. The agency arrested two men last week for alleged drug trafficking in the western metropolis, and it is understood that the leads against Zaid came after questioning.
Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his home in Mumbai ‘s Bandra on June 14. His death was initially claimed to be suicide and the Mumbai police autopsy report even indicated that there was no foul play. However, numerous lapses came to light when Republic TV investigated the case and Sushant’s father filed the first FIR accusing Sushant’s girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty, of complicity in suicide. Shortly after, the Directorate of Enforcement registered a money laundering case and questioned Rhea and 4 other persons named in the FIR. ED’s investigation uncovered a narcotics angle to the case, with the Office of Narcotics Control recording another case in the matter, investigating the drug nexus in Bollywood and particularly with Rhea and Sushant.
