India’s Best Dancer on Sony TV got its winner on Sunday. Ajay Singh, also known as Tiger Pop, beat Mukul Gain, Subhranil Paul, Paramdeep Singh and Shweta Warrier to lift the trophy for Best Dancer of India. The popular show was judged by Malaika Arora, Terence Lewis, and Geeta Kapoor, and hosted by real-life couple Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa.
Ecstatic to win the title of Best Dancer in India, Tiger Pop said in a statement: “I am more than happy to have won the coveted title of Best Dancer in India. I can’t believe my childhood dream of being on a platform as Best Dancer in India and winning it came true today. The whole journey of being in India’s Best Dancer, from my first audition, to my first battle, to being paired with a choreographer like Vartika Jha, performing and learning something new week after week has been surreal. Being here on this stage made me realize that flattery cannot be taken for granted. You have to work hard to earn it. “
