The Ministry of Railways has approved Zonal Railways’ proposal for the operation of 196 pairs of special trains for festivals. The trains will run until November 30. The special trains will run to destinations such as Kolkata, Patna, Varanasi, Lucknow, among others, to cater for the growing demand during the subsequent Durga Puja, Dussehra, Diwali and Chhatt puja holiday period.
