Indian Railways will run 80 (40 pairs) new trains starting September 12, tickets for which were posted Thursday on the Indian Railways website. These trains will be in addition to the 230 special trains already in operation, introduced in various stages of locking and unlocking in the last six months. Tickets are also available at the station counters.
All regular passenger trains were suspended on March 25 due to the national shutdown. Starting in May, the railways resumed their operations in a phased manner: first they operated Shramik Special trains to transport migrant workers, then they introduced special trains, which are not regular passenger trains tailor-made according to demand. These new 80 trains, which will connect Delhi-Indore, Yesvantpur-Gorakhpur, Puri-Ahmedabad, Delhi-Bengaluru among other routes, will also be special trains.

one. In this phase several trains are being introduced connecting small towns with Delhi. Varanasi-New Delhi vande Bharat Express will run from September 12. Here is the list of the 80 trains:

Four. After logging in, you can search for the availability of these special trains and consequently book tickets through electronic payment. You will receive an SMS.
5. The stops of these trains will be regulated after consultation with the interested state governments.
6. Currently, the railways are operating 30 special Rajdhani-type trains, which started from May 12. Since June 1, the railways have been operating 200 Mail Express special trains.
7. As various reviews are being conducted nationwide, the railroads plan to operate more special trains as demand increases.
8. If waiting lists are long for any particular train, the railways will run a clone train to accommodate passengers on the waiting list, he said.
9. The 80 new trains are being introduced with the migrant workers now traveling back to their workplaces in mind, as the unlocking has entered phase four in September.
10. Due to its limited service, Indian railways have estimated a loss of around Rs 40 billion in the current financial year.
