IPL 2021 is just around the corner and the players are working hard to be in their best shape for the tournament. While some franchises are looking to increase their trophy cabinet, teams like Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) led by Virat Kohli are looking to end their title drought. RCB, who face the defending champions of the Mumbai Indians in the opening match of IPL 2021, played a practice match within the team to test their skills in a situation similar to a real match. With some of its players still in quarantine, RCB only had 12 players available for the match, including players like Yuzvendra Chahal, Navdeep Saini, Mohammed Siraj.

Rajat Patidar, who was bought this year for its base price of Rs 20 lakh, scored a half-century of rapid shooting (54 of just 35 balls) while Suyash Prabhudessai scored 25 of 15 balls when the team that hit first was pitched for 153 careers. Saini gave away 40 runs but picked up three crucial wickets, while Chahal pitched brilliantly and came back 2-for-20.
However, the star of the day was the all-rounder Harshal Patel, who shot with both the bat and the ball. First picking up two wickets and then having the team pass the line with two more overs to spare with a rapid fire cameo. He was awarded Man of the Match for his comprehensive performance.

RCB, despite its poor run of form towards the end of last season, qualified for the playoffs but lost to SunRisers Hyderabad in the Eliminator.
Forgetting the disappointment of last season, the team led by Virat Kohli would like to put on more consistent performances this year as they seek to get their hands on the coveted title for the first time.
