SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) batsman Manish Pandey had the perfect answer in store for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Virat Kohli, who attempted to slide the cricketer during the 2020 Indian Premier League (IPL) Knockout on Friday. Manish started his innings on a cautious note, which may have been influenced by the removal of starter Shreevats Goswami by a duck. SRH was chasing a paltry goal of 132, giving the cricketer all the time in the world to settle down before taking on the bowlers. Kohli tried to make the batter nervous with a fleeting comment after a defensive shot, to which the SRH player responded appropriately. Two balls later, Manish played a cross throw shot over the middle of the deep wicket after a short delivery from Mohammed Siraj, with the ball passing to clear the fence.
Here is the video showing Kohli’s comment, as well as the response from SRH’s hitter:

RCB lost the life-and-death match by a six-wicket margin after half a century to New Zealand hitter Kane Williamson, rubbing salt on Kohli’s wounds. Williamson was unbeaten in 50 of 44 deliveries in an inning consisting of two limits and sixes.
The New Zealand cricketer was further supported by West Indies all-rounder Jason Holder, who remained undefeated at the other end.
Promoted
This is not the first time Kohli has tried to make opponents nervous. The India captain had attempted to take down Suryakumar Yadav during a league stage match against defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) previously in the cash rich league.
Suryakumar was unaffected by the move, remaining undefeated until the very end when the Mumbai-based franchise recorded a dominant victory.
