Chennai Super Kings batters once again failed to get going as the MS Dhoni-led team fell 37 runs short of the 170-run goal against Royal Challengers Bangalore in Dubai on Saturday. After the Chennai-based franchise posted its fifth loss this season, former India hitter Virender Sehwag criticized CSK’s disappointing hitting, saying he feels sad for all CSK fans. Sehwag took to Twitter and wrote: “Feeling sad for the Chennai fans. This was a team that struggled and teams used to be cautious until the end. They have been very disappointing, especially with d bat, putting it off too late.”
He also praised RCB captain Virat Kohli, who hit and undefeated 90 of 52 deliveries, and said hitters can follow his example on how not to get bogged down under pressure.
“Kohli was very special today. A lot of hitters can learn how not to get bogged down, they played only 5 points,” Sehwag added in his tweet.

Chasing 170 for victory, CSK got off to a bad start as they lost the Faf du Plessis wicket in the fourth over with just 19 runs on the board.
Shane Watson was soon cleared by Washington Sundar after the Australian struggled to hit an 18-ball knock in 14 runs.
Ambati Rayudu and Narayan Jagadeesan, playing their first IPL game, made 64 runs for the third wicket before the rookie ran out of 33.
Promoted
MS Dhoni came out to bat at number five, crushing Yuzvendra Chahal a six, but the leg spinner fought back to send the former India captain back to the pavilion in the same spot.
Chris Morris, who was playing his first game this season, closed the game for RCB with a three-wicket.
