AB de Villiers and Devdutt Padikkal are now speeding up as death approaches. Padikkal took James Pattinson for consecutive years and De Villiers has also set his limits. The Mumbai Indians came back by firing Virat Kohli after he fought for 3 of 11 balls. RCB’s Aaron Finch got his fourteenth Indian Premier League (IPL) fifty with just 31 balls with seven fours and one six but was unable to continue to the end. He hit Kieron Pollard in front of Trent Boult. However, Finch and Devdutt Padikkal gave the Royal Challengers Bangalore a great start after being asked to hit by the Mumbai Indians in Game 10 of the 2020 IPL. They added 81 runs for the first wicket as Finch exploded against the pacemakers and Mumbai spinners alike. (LIVE SCORE CARD)

    AB looks dangerous now.

Kieron Pollard throws a slower one on the pads and AB just gives him the direction towards the thin leg fence.

  • 20:41 (IST)

    50 for Padikkal!

Second half century of IPL for Padikkal as he creates another limit.

This boy looks good and now he will be looking to hit until the end.

  • 20:37 (IST)

    RCB is speeding up now!

Padikkal opens the face of the bat and hits this wide Krunal delivery over covers for four others.

RCB has changed gears since Kohli’s impeachment.

  • 20:36 (IST)

    FOUR!

AB de Villiers is in action now.

Krunal shoves one into the body and AB swings back and lifts it on the side of the leg for four.

  • 20:34 (IST)

SIX! SIX! Padikkal is in the mix!

    Six much needed for RCB!

Padikkal had slowed down when he saw Finch and Kohli go the other way, but now it looks like he’s decided to go bowling.

He tosses one over the bowler’s head for a Pattinson six and then hits the next ball with a straight ball, directly over the bowler’s head for another six.

  • 20:27 (IST)

    SHUTTER! Kohli c Rohit b R Chahar 3 (11)

    BIG MILLION!

Kohli leaves. She wasn’t looking for the biggest of touches and has hit one straight to Rohit in coverage.

This ball stayed on the surface a bit, or so it seemed, and Kohli was early on his shot and didn’t get lift on his drive.

  • 20:24 (IST)

    Excellent for Bumrah!

Bumrah keeps Kohli tied to the fold and gives away just three runs in the 12th.

RCB has slowed down and is giving up the lead Finch and Padikkal gave it at the start.

Kohli is hitting 3 of 10 balls!

  • 20:19 (IST)

I’m looking to throw things back

Aaron Finch’s wicket has slowed things down for RCB.

New batsman Virat Kohli is not known to face bowling from the first ball and the time it takes to lay his eye will be how long MI will have to get another breakthrough.

The last five overs have produced 34 runs and one wicket.

  • 20:13 (IST)

    SHUTTER! Finch c Pollard b Boult 52 (35)

    Finally MI has a breakthrough!

Boult cooks a slower, wider one on the outside of the stump and Finch tosses it on the outer side.

However, he misses the right time and closes in on Pollard from the long distance.

  • 20:12 (IST)

    FOUR!

Boult returns for a second spell and casts a short one at Padikkal’s body.

The southpaw turns in his crease and places him on the square leg for four.

Fantastic hitting of the young man.

  • 20:07 (IST)

    50 for Finch!

Finch takes out his 50 with a four leg through Chahar.

14th IPL fifty for Finch and he takes it out with 7 fours and a six.

  • 20:04 (IST)

    FOUR!

    Finch is in the song!

Krunal Pandya gives it some width and Finch lifts it over the decks for four more.

    MI need a breakthrough soon.

  • 7:57 PM (IST)

    50 for RCB!

Finch and Padikkal have raised 50 for RCB within Powerplay.

  • 19:56 (IST)

    Hooked on FOUR!

    What a shot!

Bumrah throws a wild gorilla and Padikkal knocks him through the middle of the wicket for a cracked boundary.

Bumrah sought to take Padikkal by surprise, but the southpaw was waiting and ready for it.

  • 19:55 (IST)

    FOUR!

Jasprit Bumrah is on the attack and even he feels the pressure.

Throw one on the pads and Padikkal simply runs the thin leg through four.

  • 19:52 (IST)

FOUR! FOUR! FOUR! Finch on a roll!

Finch has gotten into his rhythm!

He makes room out of the leg, Rahul Chahar continues to throw himself at his body, but he falls short.

Finch stops him in the middle of the gate for four.

On the next ball, Chahar returns to the short pins and goes down the side of the leg. Finch paddles on the thin leg for another four.

And then, as Chahar tosses a stump to stump, Finch makes room and hits the lid for a hat-trick of four.

  • 19:49 (IST)

Rahul Chahar gives everything on the field

Finch has taken full advantage of field restrictions and has taken aerial shots.

Hit one over the middle and the ball lands out of reach of Rahul Chahar, who steps inside the circle.

But Chahar gives it everything and dives to prevent the ball from crossing the rope.

Two runs saved for the team.

  • 7:46 PM (IST)

    FOUR!

Pattinson falls short and Finch just does it. He makes room outside the leg and shoots so high and long over the middle of the gate for a one-bouncing four.

Finch looks dangerous. MI need a breakthrough.

  • 19:43 (IST)

    SIX!

Boult throws one and Finch just hits across the line. It holds its shape and lifts it for a long time to a huge six.

The first six of the game!

  • 19:41 (IST)

    Fallen!

Hard opportunity, but you should seize them to make an impact.

Finch flies again, this time on a square leg. He does not time well and Krunal Pandya comes running from the fence, reaches the ball but does not hold.

Pattinson lets out an “ARGH” of disappointment. How expensive will this be?

  • 19:40 (IST)

    FOUR!

Finch is fine now, and he shows it by dancing down the floor to Pattinson.

However, he gets a top edge that carries the ball over the goalkeeper’s head and slides four four.

    Striped, but effective.

  • 19:37 (IST)

    Finch has entered the box!

It’s James Pattinson from the other side. He makes a ball slide back from a good length and Finch places it inside his box.

He’s beaten up and he’s taking his time.

  • 19:32 (IST)

    FOUR!

Padikkal starts well. Drive Trent Boult’s first ball through the decks for a double.

The next ball, Boult deflects on the line and throws himself over the pads, Padikkal throws it through the square leg for four.

    First limit for RCB!

  • 19:28 (IST)
