The Mahindra Thar has earned an impressive four-star safety rating in Global NCAP safety tests. The recently launched Mahindra Thar was tested on its basic safety specification, two airbags, and achieved 4 stars for both adult occupants and children. The Thar also complies with the UN 95 side impact regulation.
Global NCAP tested Thar’s ESC in accordance with UN regulation. The ESC was not standard on the Thar and, although the model met the minimum regulatory requirements, the car displayed unstable dynamic behavior. Global NCAP recommends a review and improvement.
