After converting some old buses into “mobile disinfectants” to fumigate field workers fighting COVID-19, the Karnataka State Transportation Corporation in Mysuru has modified an old bus into a “mobile fever clinic”.

This is the state’s first mobile fever clinic launched in light of the pandemic. The bus had been modified in a short period of time to give it the shape of a clinic with facilities to detect patients suffering from fever, colds and coughs.

Deputy Commissioner Abhiram G Sankar, who marked the mobile fever clinic, said the bus had been inspected by the COVID-19 medical team and that it had been certified to examine patients on the move. “This is the first mobile fever clinic in the state,” he said.
