In the past three weeks, the Indian army has occupied six major new hills in LAC amid clashes with China in eastern Ladakh.
According to main government sources, the army has occupied these six positions on the Finger 4 ridge since August 29, ANI reported.
“The new features of the hill that our troops are occupying include Magar Hilll, Gurung Hill, Recehen La, Rezang La, Mokhpari and the dominating height above the Chinese positions near Finger 4,” ANI quoted top government sources as saying.
Previously, the situation remained tense on both the northern and southern shores of the Pangong Lake area, as well as other sticking points in eastern Ladakh on Friday. There have been at least three attempts by the PLA to “intimidate” Indian troops along the north and south shores of the Pangong Lake area in the past three weeks, where even shots were fired into the air for the first time at LAC. in 45 years.
