India vs England Live Score, Live Cricket Score, 3rd T20I in Motera Live Updates: It’s over! England win by eight wickets to take a 2-1 series lead. Bairstow finishes the task with a slap on Shardul’s backward spot. Buttler ends up with 83, not out. A full performance today from England.
T20I 3rd preview: England got off to a strong start to the series by winning the series opener by eight wickets, but India rallied in the second ODI in style with a seven wickets victory.
The third match is an opportunity for Virat Kohli and company to continue the winning momentum. They were guilty of trying too hard in the first match, but regained their composure in the second T20I. At the same time, experimentation for the hosts has continued.
Starter Ishan Kishan made his debut, while Suryakumar Yadav also first became part of India XI in the second T20I. Kishan impressed with his offensive hitting on debut, scoring 56 versus 32. Captain Kohli looked as sublime as ever as he once again scored an undefeated out of fifty to help India win.
The first match pitch at the Motera helped the pacemakers and gave England a big lead, but the second pitch was slow and despite some helpful scores from the English hitters, the Indian pacemakers managed to outperform their competitors at the second game.
The third T20I is expected to be played on a red soil field, which should help the spinners and therefore it would be interesting to see the team changes. India could welcome Rohit Sharma back to the top of the order, but that would mean either KL Rahul or Kishan have to give way. India could also decide to play Rahul in the middle order instead of Suryakumar. Axar Patel could also have a chance for a pacemaker.
England captain Eoin Morgan wants to bring Mark Wood to the team, but they could call on Moeen Ali instead of Tom Curran.
We are in the middle of the series and while the teams are experimenting with the T20 World Cup in mind, they would also like to stamp their authority on the third T20I to get closer to the series trophy.
The third Q20I and the remaining matches of the series would be played without spectators at the Ahmedabad stadium as a result of the increase in COVID-19 cases.
