Captain Virat Kohli made a sweet cameo with the bat on Sunday when India defeated Australia by six wickets in the second T20I at the Sydney Cricket Ground. He played a crucial 40-run knock with 24 balls, including 2-plus-sixes.
While batting against the Australians, Kohli stunned fans with an astonishing scoop shot.
The incident happened on the fifteenth when Kohli played that shot against Andrew Tye’s bowling alley. The Indian skipper moved across the stumps to make some room and then scooped the ball over the square leg for a huge high.

After Kohli’s scintillating act, many users on social media, as well as commenters, noted how he reminded them of AB de Villiers. During the post-match presentation, the Indian captain said that he himself would ask Mr. 360 for feedback on his scoop shot.
“The scoop on thin leg was a bit of a fun moment, I surprised myself, I will text AB tonight and see what he thinks,” Kohli said after the conclusion of the second T20I.

The video of Kohli’s shot was shared on social media to which AB de Villiers replied to a bunch of emojis.
After Kohli’s departure in 17, Hardik Pandya and Shreyas Iyer took responsibility for the persecution. The duo carried the game to the end and came back victorious, with 2 balls to spare.

Earlier, Australia racked up misery on the Indian bowlers after hitting first and posted a total of 194 due to hits from Matthew Wade (58) and Steve Smith (46). No other Indian bowler except T Natarajan was able to come out and impact the game, and dropping catches did not help the visiting cause.
India and Australia will now meet in the third and final T20I on Tuesday at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
