As for Ishant, BCCI said the pacemaker has fully recovered from the lateral strain it suffered during the 2020 IPL and is “increasing its workload to achieve test fitness.”
However, Ishant has been ruled out of the four-game test series that begins December 17 in Adelaide.
Previously, Kohli had said that the team had been “playing the waiting game” on Rohit’s injury status.
